Israel Threatens Ayatollah Khamenei Following Missile Attack Near Tel Aviv
Israel’s Defence Minister issued a strong warning toward Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, stating he "can no longer be allowed to exist" after a missile struck a hospital on the outskirts of Tel Aviv.
Direct Accountability for the Hospital Strike
Following the attack that injured dozens, Israel's Defence Minister expressed outrage, emphasizing that Khamenei will be held responsible. “The cowardly Iranian dictator, hidden deep inside a fortified bunker, orchestrates attacks targeting hospitals and residential areas in Israel. These constitute grave war crimes,” the minister declared on social media.
He further revealed increased military directives were underway: “The Prime Minister and I have ordered the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) to ramp up strikes on strategic and government targets within Iran, including Tehran itself, aiming to neutralize threats and destabilize the Ayatollah’s regime.”
Details of the Missile Attack and Conflicting Claims
The attack damaged a hospital in southern Israel, reportedly injuring at least 47 people. Iran claimed its missile targeted a nearby military and intelligence hub near Soroka Hospital, asserting the hospital was impacted only by the blast’s shockwave.
According to Iranian state media, the intended target was the Israeli Army Command and Intelligence Base (IDF C4I) situated within the Gav-Yam Technology Park vicinity, aiming to strike military rather than civilian infrastructure.
Escalation of Israeli Airstrikes Against Iranian Targets
Amid ongoing tensions, Israel has intensified its military campaign against Iranian facilities, reportedly launching airstrikes that eliminated numerous senior Iranian military officials, nuclear scientists, and infrastructure linked to Iran’s nuclear program.
The strikes have hit over 50 targets within Tehran alone, including centrifuge sites and nuclear enrichment workshops, underscoring Israel’s determination to disrupt Iran's military capabilities.
Khamenei’s Defiant Response to International Pressure
In response to escalating threats and calls for Iran’s “unconditional surrender” from external actors, Iran’s supreme leader dismissed such demands, warning of severe consequences should foreign military forces intervene.
“Those familiar with Iran’s people and history understand that threats are futile. The Iranian nation will never surrender,” Khamenei stated in a recent televised address. He cautioned that any U.S. military involvement would inflict irreparable damage, signaling the regime's defiant stance amid mounting hostilities.
What Lies Ahead?
The confrontation between Israel and Iran has sharply intensified, with each side trading blows and threats. The recent hospital missile strike marks a tragic and significant escalation, prompting Israel’s leadership to target Iran’s core power centers more aggressively. As tensions rise, the international community watches closely, wary of further destabilization in the volatile Middle East region.
