Vice President Highlights Success of Operation Sindoor

Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, while addressing students and faculty at the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) in Puducherry, commended the Central Government for the successful execution of Operation Sindoor. This military action was a decisive and strategic response to the terror attack that shook Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.

A Message of Strength and Peace

Reflecting on the operation, the Vice President emphasized that India sent a clear message to the global community — a nation committed to peace but firm against terrorism on its soil. According to him, the operation's conclusion, following the destruction of terror camps, underscored India’s intention to avoid war and maintain peace.

"About two months ago, the nation was deeply concerned and shaken by the attack on what is one of the world's most peace-loving countries, a nation that has never pursued expansionism," he said. "The Prime Minister promised justice, and our armed forces responded with precision, ensuring the retaliation was measured and calculated. Since war is not the solution, the decision to ceasefire was a wise step."

National Unity and Strength: The Foundation for Progress

Vice President Dhankhar asserted that a nation’s progress depends heavily on peace, which in turn is guaranteed by preparedness and a unified, nationalistic mindset. He stressed the importance of the political class being united on issues concerning national security and nationalism.

"I urge all political leaders to recognize that matters of national security transcend party politics and individual interests," he said. The move by the Prime Minister to send a multiparty delegation was, in his view, a positive step that fostered constructive collaboration across political lines.

Local Leaders Join the Discussion

Alongside the Vice President, Lieutenant Governor K. Kailashnathan and Chief Minister N. Rangasamy offered their perspectives, addressing the academic community at JIPMER and reinforcing the importance of unity and resilience in the face of external threats.
