Charminar-themed Stamps Presented to Miss World 2025 Contestants in Hyderabad
On June 2, 2025, the Department of Posts, Telangana Circle, unveiled a unique customised 'My Stamp' sheets featuring the iconic Charminar monument. These special edition stamps were presented to Miss World 2025, Opal Suchata Chuangsri, along with 19 other international contestants during an event held at a hotel in Hyderabad.
My Stamp Initiative Highlights Hyderabad's Cultural Heritage
The 'My Stamp' programme is an India Post initiative allowing individuals or organizations to personalize postage stamps with photos, logos, or specific images integrated with themed designs. The Charminar-themed stamps were specially curated to celebrate Hyderabad's rich architectural heritage and historical significance.
The presentation ceremony was led by Chief Postmaster General of Telangana Circle, P.V.S. Reddy, accompanied by Director of Postal Services (HQ), Rippan Dullet, and other senior postal officials.
Global Participants Appreciate the Cultural Tribute
Miss World 2025, Opal Suchata Chuangsri, praised the initiative and commended the India Post for creatively preserving cultural legacies. She remarked, "It is inspiring to see how tradition and innovation come together in such a beautiful way."
Similarly, Miss Wales, Millie Mae Adams, shared her excitement on social media, describing the honour of receiving a personalised stamp. She captioned her post, "Telangana, where dreams are crowned," reflecting the cultural warmth she experienced during her stay.
Availability and Pricing of the Customized Stamp Sheets
- Each customized 'My Stamp' sheet includes 12 stamps.
- The sheets are priced at ₹300 each.
- Available for purchase at the Hyderabad General Post Office (GPO).
