Indian Parliamentary Delegation Concludes Diplomatic Mission in Middle East and North Africa
An all-party Indian delegation led by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) legislator Baijayant Panda recently completed a significant diplomatic visit to several countries in the Middle East and North Africa. The delegation's itinerary included key visits to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Algeria.
Focus on Counter-Terrorism and Diplomatic Outreach
The delegation sought to communicate India's firm stance against terrorism, highlighting the country's response to the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, executed under Operation Sindoor. In addition to Baijayant Panda, the delegation featured several prominent members of the Indian Parliament, including BJP MPs Nishikant Dubey, Phangnon Konyak, Rekha Sharma, All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi, former union minister Ghulam Nabi Azad, and nominated Rajya Sabha MP Satnam Singh Sandhu. The group was also accompanied by former Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla.
