Sean “Diddy” Combs faces serious allegations from Cassie’s former stylist, Deonte Nash, who testified that the rapper coerced singer Cassie into extensive sexual encounters, known as “freak-offs,” during their relationship and subjected her to physical abuse.
Nash recounted a disturbing incident on Cassie’s 29th birthday in 2015, when she planned a celebration involving drinks, karaoke, and drugs. Combs reportedly forced her to go to a hotel for a “sex marathon,” despite her pleas to celebrate differently. Nash described Combs yelling at Cassie, who reluctantly complied out of fear and coercion.
According to the testimony and earlier statements from Cassie, such encounters were frequent and involved Combs directing, witnessing, and filming her with male sex workers. These incidents allegedly persisted throughout their 11-year relationship from 2007 to 2018. Nash also detailed numerous instances of physical assault and threats by Combs, including one where Combs violently attacked Cassie in her apartment, causing her visible injuries and warning her he would destroy her music career by releasing private footage if she did not comply with him.
Currently, Combs faces charges of leading a racketeering conspiracy for approximately two decades, relying on violence and intimidation. He has pleaded not guilty and could face 15 years to life in prison if convicted.
In parallel developments in the trial, Combs’ legal team requested a mistrial over suggestions that he interfered in the 2012 firebombing investigation of rapper Kid Cudi’s car, which was denied by the judge. Previously, testimony revealed that Combs allegedly expressed intent to harm Cudi after learning of Cudi’s relationship with Cassie, actions preceding the firebombing attack. An LAPD investigator noted irregularities in the handling of key fingerprint evidence related to the incident, which was subsequently destroyed by an unidentified department member.
Despite accusations of prosecutorial misconduct by Combs’ defense, the judge maintained the trial's integrity and instructed jurors to disregard certain prejudicial comments.
