Elon Musk, the world's richest individual, recently declared the creation of a new political party in the United States, named the "America Party". Responding to popular demand, Musk emphasized on X that by a 2-to-1 margin, people want a new political party, and he intends to deliver just that. The announcement follows a recent poll Musk conducted asking his followers if they support the formation of this new party.
Focused Strategy Targeting Marginal Seats
Rather than attempting a broad national takeover, Musk plans to tactically focus the party’s resources on winning 2 to 3 Senate seats and 8 to 10 House districts. This targeted approach is designed to leverage narrow legislative margins, enabling the America Party to hold pivotal sway over key votes in Congress.
"Given the razor-thin legislative margins, that would be enough to serve as the deciding vote on contentious laws, ensuring they reflect the true will of the people," Musk explained. Though details about the party’s registration status remain unclear, it is not currently registered with the Federal Election Commission.
