Fitness Influencer and Her Date Tragically Killed in Southern California
A tragic shooting in Fontana, Southern California, ended the lives of Gloria Zamora, a 40-year-old fitness influencer, and her date, Hector Garduno, 43. According to authorities, Zamora's estranged husband, Thomas Alberto Tamayo Lizarraga, allegedly carried out the deadly attack.
The Incident Unfolded Outside a Local Restaurant
Police responded to reports of gunfire outside a sushi restaurant where they found Zamora and Garduno suffering from critical gunshot wounds. Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene. Shortly after, Lizarraga was confronted and fatally shot by an off-duty law enforcement officer who happened to be nearby.

Officer Steve Reed from the Fontana Police Department confirmed the tragic circumstances. The estranged couple was reportedly going through a divorce at the time of the shooting. It's unclear how Lizarraga knew Zamora’s whereabouts, but she had been at the restaurant for around an hour before the attack.
Several off-duty officers in the vicinity responded swiftly to the gunfire. An off-duty San Bernardino County sheriff’s deputy, upon hearing the shots, turned around, approached the scene, and confronted Lizarraga, leading to the suspect’s death during the encounter.
