In a social media post, Princess Maria Carolina expressed gratitude for her survival, stating, "I’m incredibly lucky to be alive. I crashed headfirst into a wall whilst riding a motorcycle and ended up in reanimation in the Intensive Care Unit. Surviving this was nothing short of a miracle.” She emphasized the importance of motorcycle safety and protective gear, crediting her helmet for saving her life.
The princess also thanked the emergency responders and medical team at Centre Hospitalier Princesse Grace for their exceptional care during her critical condition. Their rapid and effective intervention proved vital in her survival and recovery.
