LeT Terrorist Claims Role in Bangladesh Unrest, Hasina's Son Reveals

Sajeeb Wazed Joy, son of former Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, has shared a video revealing claims of involvement by the Pakistan-based terrorist group Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) in the recent political unrest in Bangladesh.

The video features Muzammil Hashmi, an LeT terrorist, who issued threats against India and declared responsibility for orchestrating the political turmoil that led to the end of Sheikh Hasina's 15-year administration. The video was posted by Wazed on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), exposing a direct link between the Pakistan terror group and the protests destabilizing Bangladesh.

Hashmi's speech was delivered at a public gathering organized by the Pak Markazi Muslim League, reportedly a political front for LeT. The event was held in Gujranwala to commemorate Pakistan’s nuclear weapons program anniversary.

In his provocative remarks, Hashmi taunted Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stating, "You try to scare us with your bullets, Modi. We send you a message: our children aren't afraid of your missiles, so why would we fear your bullets?" He went on to say that neither Modi nor his predecessors could intimidate them and recounted the historical context of resistance against India.

He also claimed credit for the disturbances in Bangladesh, asserting, "Modi, you know we defeated you in Bangladesh last year."

Separately, Sheikh Hasina has condemned the current administration’s increasing leniency toward convicted war criminals, warning that Bangladesh risks turning into a haven for terrorists. She referenced the release of Jamaat-e-Islami leader ATM Azharul Islam and accused radicals of undermining the nation's independence, labeling them as "agents of Pakistan" intent on destroying Bangladesh from within.

This revelation highlights ongoing geopolitical tensions in the region, implicating international terrorist groups in Bangladesh’s internal political crisis, and raising concerns over the stability and security of the nation.
