London: Andrew Tate, a well-known internet personality, faces 11 criminal charges in the United Kingdom, including allegations of rape, actual bodily harm, and human trafficking, announced the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) on Wednesday.
The CPS confirmed that these charges against Andrew Tate pertain to a single complainant and were authorized before an extradition warrant was issued in 2024 to bring him from Romania to the UK.
Andrew Tate's brother, Tristan Tate, is facing 10 charges related to three complainants. His charges include rape, actual bodily harm, human trafficking, and controlling prostitution for gain.
Both Andrew and Tristan Tate have consistently denied all allegations made against them.
The CPS further stated that while the UK courts authorized extradition following Romanian courts' orders last year, ongoing criminal proceedings in Romania must be resolved before the extradition can occur.
A CPS spokesperson said, "However, the domestic criminal matters in Romania must be settled first."
The Tate brothers remain under separate criminal investigation in Romania.
