British prosecutors have formally charged influencer brothers Andrew and Tristan Tate with rape, human trafficking, and related offenses in the United Kingdom, the Crown Prosecution Service announced on Wednesday.
Andrew Tate, 38, faces allegations involving three women, including charges of rape, actual bodily harm, human trafficking, and controlling prostitution for gain. His brother, Tristan Tate, 36, faces similar accusations related to one woman.
The Tate brothers, who hold dual US-UK citizenship, were arrested in Romania in late 2022 amid allegations of operating a trafficking network that exploited women. Both have denied all charges. Following the issuance of a European arrest warrant last year, Romanian courts have now authorized their extradition to the UK.
Authorities continue to investigate the case as the legal process unfolds.
