On May 26, 2025, Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan conducted a strategic review at the Indian Army's Northern and Western Commands in response to the outcomes of Operation Sindoor. During his time at Udhampur in Jammu & Kashmir, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief Lt Gen Pratik Sharma detailed the Northern Army's success in dismantling terrorist networks and mitigating threats to both military assets and civilian populations. He highlighted the ongoing rehabilitation efforts for civilians affected by cross-border aggression.
General Chauhan emphasized the necessity for sustained vigilance and synergy across all military divisions to counter evolving threats.
