Former Union Minister MJ Akbar sharply criticized Pakistan's government during an event in Copenhagen, characterizing it as "double-faced" and deceptive. Akbar emphasized that diplomatic talks with Pakistan are mere facades, exploited by Islamabad to strategize for future terrorist activities.
Addressing an Indian audience, Akbar remarked, "Pakistan has a government with a forked tongue; which face do we engage with? Their talks are poisoned, used as a cover to prepare for the next attack." He expressed skepticism over the sincerity of Pakistan's overtures following India’s decisive military actions.
Akbar commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi's strong stance, stating, "We now have a leader who has unequivocally called out Pakistan's bluff, striving to awaken a nation afflicted by a persistent issue."
Akbar forms part of a multi-party delegation, led by BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad, comprising representatives from several political parties. The delegation tours key international partners and the United Nations Security Council to communicate India's unified and determined approach towards countering terrorism.
This diplomatic outreach follows Operation Sindoor, a targeted military strike conducted against terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, undertaken in response to the devastating Pahalgam terror attack that claimed 26 lives on April 22.
The Indian government’s efforts underscore a firm commitment to combating terrorism in all its forms, reaffirming the nation's resolve on the global stage.
