BRICS Parliamentary Forum Strongly Condemns Terror Attack in Pahalgam
The annual 11th BRICS Parliamentary Forum convened in Brasilia on June 4-5, 2025, with delegations from ten member countries including India, Brazil, Russia, China, South Africa, Iran, United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Ethiopia, and Indonesia. India was represented by a high-level parliamentary delegation led by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla.

At the conclusion of the conference, it was announced that India will host the 12th BRICS Parliamentary Forum. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla was appointed as Chairperson of the upcoming forum, signaling India’s continuing leadership role within this multilateral parliamentary collaboration.
India’s delegation also included key parliamentarians such as Deputy Chairperson of Rajya Sabha Harivansh, Rajya Sabha MP Surendra Singh Nagar, and several Lok Sabha members, along with senior secretariat officials.
