Alappuzha District Celebrates World Environment Day
On June 5, 2025, Alappuzha district observed World Environment Day with a special programme organized under the Suchitwa Mission. The event took place at the district panchayat headquarters and was inaugurated by District Panchayat President K.G. Rajeshwari.
Promotion of Sustainable Waste Management in Schools
A key highlight of the day was the activation of 65 aerobic bins installed across various schools in the district. These aerobic bins are intended to promote effective waste management and environmental education among students, encouraging them to adopt sustainable practices early on.
